1.) Are samples available?
We'll send a complimentary sample pack of up to 4 different tiles of our Modico Ceramic Solid Color Glazes, Ceramic Rift Series Glazes (in 2"x 2" size) or our Beetlekill Pine (size subject to availability). Shipping within the continental USA is included.
For $25, we will send you the full line of current ceramic glaze samples, which includes 15 solid colors and 5 Rift Series tiles. The sample price will go towards your future purchase of 5 sf or more of any tile order through laNeva.
For Art GLASS and Cast Bronze tile, we will send a sample for your approval at the current retail or trade price, which is fully refundable when we receive the sample back in the original condition within 30 days or the purchase price can be applied towards your future purchase of $500+ USD.
2.) I like laNeva Tile but I don't know how to create a design with them.
What should I do?
There are three options: Look at our Blog for pattern and tile combination ideas. You could also review home/kitchen/bath books or magazines for inspiration, or email us for a free design consultation. We will use your measurements and preferences to create three unique design suggestions just for your space- and we'll tweak them until you are completely happy with your new tile design.
3.) I have a certain paint (or glaze color or fabric swatch, etc.) that I'd like to match. Can you do that?
Unfortunately no, we have purposefully limited our ceramic glazes line to the best lead-free colors and textures available. We do this to maintain efficiency and expectations for our design standards and lead time. Custom colors are extremely time consuming and not our focus.

4.) I'd like a unique size and/or shape of tile. Can you do that?
It depends on the shape and your preferred material. Additional sizes are more of a possibility than different shapes, but we're not ruling anything out. Please contact us to discuss your project.
5.) What is the lead time for laNeva Artisan tile?
Since nearly all of our tile is custom made specifically for your project, the lead time depends on the material you are ordering and the quantity of pieces needed.
Here is a list of our standard lead times (from the time your order is confirmed and payment received to the time of shipping):
Ceramic (Handmade and Modico): 4-6 Weeks
Art GLASS: 8-12 Weeks
Beetlekill Pine: 6 Weeks
Cast Bronze: 12 Weeks
Please keep in mind that many specialty tiles ordered from Italy or elsewhere overseas can take 12+ weeks to arrive in the USA. By purchasing from laNeva, you are supporting Artisans in the USA that can send you updates and photos of your order's progress and you are receiving tile made exactly to your specifications!!!
6.) Do you take credit cards?
Absolutely! We accept credit cards and business check if you prefer. We request 50% deposit at time of order and 50% at shipping. No production will be started without deposit.
Our standard is to email an invoice after we review your order. This review of the order prior to payment is an extra step, but with a custom, made-to-order product such as our tile, it can prevent later questions as well as possible additions and exchanges to an existing order. One more step to insure an accurate order that meets everyones expectations.
6.) Are laNeva Custom tiles returnable?
No. We highly suggest purchasing a sample pack or two before ordering to see the inherent variation that is standard with handmade tile. Due to the nature of all handmade tile, the final product may vary slightly from the sample lot.
If your order is above $1500 USD or have an unusually complex design, we will produce a complimentary 6" x 6" strikeoff for your approval prior to production of the full tile order.
7.) Why do custom tiles cost so much more than mass-produced tile?
Handmade tile production is an extremely time consuming and detailed endeavor. We have a traditional artisan process where tile production is not automated. The beauty and richness of handmade tile just cannot be duplicated by mass-produced tile.
8.) Can I use laNeva custom tiles in conjunction with store-bought tiles?
Absolutely! laNeva makes a great accent piece when paired with mass-produced porcelain tile or stone. Please pay attention to the thickness of both tiles, though. Our handmade ceramic, for example, is 3/8" thick, which in some cases is thicker than store-bought porcelain tile (but is the same thickness as most stone tiles). We also offer over-glazed edges on our ceramics which can create finished sides to our tile and we think the play on thicknesses is a dramatic statement when laNeva is paired with store-bought porcelain tiles.
9.) Do you offer a Designer/Architect/Industry discount?
